Hi there!
I am a student at the University of Cincinnati studying digital media, animation, and storytelling.
I am a Cincinnati native and love meeting new people through my photography and content creation. Originally, I entered UC as an industrial design student at DAAP, but quickly realized my passion lay elsewhere. While I was learning to prototype, sketch, 3D model, and do woodwork, something was missing in my creative drive. Eventually, I realized that I was missing the love for human-driven storytelling.
My photography allows me to capture special moments and share the stories of the people behind them. At The News Record, I am learning more about photojournalism, including how to edit and caption photos in accordance with AP guidelines, while covering campus events and student life. My fellow student photographers have inspired me to try covering new events, try new cameras, and use new editing equipment as well. I am also currently working as a social media intern at TriYogawithLQ studio. Under the guidance of Laure Quinlivan, a local and celebrated filmmaker, I am learning what it takes to capture documentary-quality footage that lets the story speak for itself.
As a storyteller, I feel grounded in capturing the Cincinnati community and everything it has to offer. I strive to learn more about photography and love learning new ways to utilize a camera or capture a special moment. In the future, I also hope to explore other ways of storytelling through my animation and video editing classes at the University of Cincinnati.
Fun Fact: Video editing has always been one of my favorite hobbies, and I used to love playing mermaids as a kid, so I would make silly little videos on YouTube based on the show H2O: Just Add Water!
